Research on 2012

Hello all For those who remember me, long time no see! I'm back! So, I'm doing some research on the 2012 hype for my oral communications class. Could I get some input from you guys?; What your thoughts or beliefs about 2012 are, what you may have learned about it, etc. I would really appreciate it. I gotta go for now, I'm at school, but I'll check in later for responses Thanks!

Well, im glad you asked this question because I like talking about it.

Years ago, I had a dream that I was in my room and I looked outside at night and the sky was red. There were large balls of fire falling down bellow and crashing into large explosions scourching the land. Everything got destroyed when it touched. There was one fireball heading toward where I was. I then started to wake up. Before I did, I managed to look at the calendar. It read 12/12/2012 twelve minutes after midnight. Mind you this was looong before I heard anything about 2012.

Anyway from what I heard, 2012 is the year when the world is suppose to end. They say it's ending from anything from a large asteroid to aliens to the world cracking apart to the world exploding to even the discovery of a new planet that was hidden that is suppose to crash into earth and even when extra terrestrial are suppose to come. Personally I don't really believe in any of that as people have been predicting the end of the world since people first dawned. Also they even said the world was suppose to end on the year 2000 but it didn't.

People strongly believe that it may be the start of all the bible end of the world stuff, like when christ is suppose to be reborn and the anti christ is suppose to appear. Good people are suppose to be taken away in a ray of light and leaving the bad people against the anti christ. Eventually the world will be ruined but then a miracle is suppose to stop the anti christ eventually.

Like I said, I don't really believe in any of it although I will say I am highly curious of waiting till this year to see if anything may remotely happen, it's kinda exiting but scarry at the same time. Alot of this comes from that myan calendar thing, the whole everything stops at 2012 however they could had just ran out of room on the board and nothing more. But then again they say that the myan calendar is very acurate in tellling of future events, so who knows.

In a more comedic note, I hear that 2012 is the year that connan obrian is suppose to loose his "freakishly long legs".

Thanks for the input. I don't believe it will be the end of the world myself. I think it may be the beginning of something. Even the interpretation of the mayan calender gets blown out of proportion. And some of the theories/predictions people have is just scientifically rediculous. I believe that something will happen that is going to change the whole world and the people in it on many different levels, but I don't believe it will be the end of everything. I too have had strange natural disaster type dreams. To my knowledge, 2012 was never revealed in any of them. My dad and i once had dreampt of eerily similar events and woke up at the same time. He was in Florida, I was in Michigan. We spoke on the phone the next day and found out that we each had woke up at 3:18 am. Kinda weird. Thanks again for your thoughts

who knows, they will always predict the end of the world. I try not to think about it, just keep moving forward one step at a time.

I do not know what 2012 will bring but I love all the movies and T.V. specials concerning the matter. I find it all very interesting

How is your research coming along Peculiar1? I haven't talked to you in quite a while. I am glad to hear you are in school! Good for you! How is your son?
