I meant possessions other than drugs. The point, in that scenario, was for him to not make too much to be excluded from a state institution for making or having too much money.

awwwwwwwwwwww I am sorry too. Stopping an addiction is so very hard. You need a really good support system.
The only problem I have with pain medications, is long term use is damaging to the liver and other organs. My MIL was on darvocet for 30 or more years, she has all kinds of mental problems the doctor say was the result of her years of useage. I know the body craves thems, but in the long run the damage can take years off your life.

We are here for you. No matter what!

hugs

Shibby, I support your healing, as well as the others here. I believe in you and your power to overcome your drug addiction. If you fall down, just get back up and try again. There is always a way. I would try not to worry about your daughter right now and put all energy into your healing - I believe your daughter will be blessed a hundred fold by taking care of yourself this way. Not only that, but you will be modeling the behavior to your daughter, that it's ok to take care of yourself when you need help.

i wish you the best of luck. i've seen first hand the type of things being addicted to pain meds can do to people. it totally changes who they are and how they act and really i can agree with everyone who's telling you to please stop because i know i've been there and i've said it to people i really care about too. it's a hard stuggle, but you can do it! i have a friend who is struggling now, and all i can do is show how upset i get it he were to take something, and usually that works, but it's hard to not get upset. please get help and get healthy again, everyone will be so much happier! best of luck to you :]
